My husband Al and myself spent several days at Detroit Lions games in 1975 gathering many signatures requesting Elvis spend New Years welcoming in The Bicentennial 1976 year performing at the Silverdome, and that was partially responsible for getting him there. Awesome show. Al and Dee Bigelow, former editors of Strictly Elvis Generation.
